SsethTzeentach Starsector Youtube Review hits 5 million views
Don't know what else to say, this came back up on recommendations and found it just recently surpassed 5 million views, quite amazing.
I'm sure 99% of everyone here has already seen it, but if you haven't here it is. His other reviews are fun to watch too.

Funny thing is, I haven't seen it once.
Came here via Spiff, then saw the, ahem, "agitation" against it, most comparing with Seth, and decided to deliberately not watch it.
Then I didn't need to, because I'd already sunk many hours into the game before I realised it.

Some things always confused me about his video.
He said that its illegal to transverse jump, that alex added mods into the base game and that the leagues whole thing was just "screw taxes" while none of these are true.
At the very least i imagine the transverse jump thing was because he was always smuggling when he used it in populated systems.

I suspect he put some things wrongly on purpose, but I can't say for sure. If he's not stolen any of his footage, then he obviously must have played the game for a fair bit and with mods, too, and he gave a rat's ass to go and fetch Cycerin's tune from Soundcloud for his credits.

Yeah his 'reviews' are almost purely satirical. It's clear to see when he does a view of a game you know quite well.
It's quite entertaining however!

Ah yeah fair enough.
At the end of the day im quite happy it exists and got so many views as thats brought in countless new folks that bought starsector.
Being here from the near start of the game and seeing it go from a steady trickle to a river of new players is cool.

Thanks! Enjoyed it. I was a bit surprised it was from mid 2019 and the game still had most of the features I am playing with in 95.a.

Its storytelling. Sure, its lying, but it makes the show even better!

Do people not get that Sseth videos are comedy, as in there is no need to take it seriously? Just enjoy it for the sillyness none of his reviews are serious but he does have a specific taste in games so it appeals to an audience that enjoys Starsector... I'm glad Starsector got in the spotlight it deserves because of Sseth.

As one of those people who discovered Star Sector, through the teachings of Sseth, I really wish this game was advertised better....Before then, I never even heard of this gem, and I love games like this, Space Rangers is still one of my favorite games!

I've found Starsector because of this review. Of those 5 million views, at least a dozen is from me. :)
