Terran planet with -1 volatiles +1 farming and +1 Organics, with scattered ruins.
Ina system with two volcanics with rich ore, rich rare ore, and widespread ruins and a gate.
3 Ly away from a cryo where the system contains a desert planet with an array and farming, and a gas giant, and a barren planet.
9 Ly away from a shunt.
Best of ALL, theres a spacefluff free route in a pretty straight line from the core worlds.
Best planet ive ever seen in any playthrough. Well, planet aint amazing but the whole.
theres an astral BP nearby and two derelict conquests.

Perhaps it is a little bit of a stretch to call it in the core sector, but Alpha Aresius is just 4.5 Light years distant from Zagan.
Lamnos is quite a bit more distant but is kind of interesting in that it contains an arid world with a solar shade which reduces the hot penalty by reducing the hazard rating to 75% and adding +2 to farming. With no Transplutonic ore and adequate farming Soil Nanites can be used, so I'm producing 12 food with Administrator and AI core help (13 if I make improvements).

However Alpha Aresius is still pretty interesting. It contains a gateway a cryosleeper and a boat load of planets and moons to colonize. There is a gas giant with a 250% hazard rating contains +2 Volatiles if you want to break into the volatiles market though with a fusion lamp I've reduced that to 185%. There is also another arid planet I colonized with a habitability rating of 125% with adequate ore, transplutonic ore and organics; though with poor farmland; so that turned into heavy manufacturing (hence the polution increasing the hazard to 150%). I had to create a stabilization point artificially (drive into the sun with an alpha core and some other materials) since there weren't any when I first colonized it.

I have to admit that this being my first playthrough of the new version, I could of done things better. Here is a list of all the planets in the Alpha Aresius system (sorted by distance):
