Title: continuous 'burst fire' option

it would be nice to have the ability to specify an 'interruptable infinite burst' (ie, the burst length is however long you hold down the LMB, or you run out of ammo, with a minimum burst size of 1: the firing AI would basically 'hold down the LMB' so long as the target is in range.) for a projectile weapon.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how is this different from a normal weapon with rapid fire?

Maybe he means it's like a toggle.  Click for fire, click again to stop firing?  Seems like a hybrid auto-fire that handles the aiming *after* you specify the target?

no, what I mean is that I want it to have a very long chargeup time, but once it charges up, so long as you keep it charged, it will fire a continuous burst.

You can already do that. Just set the burst size to something really large, and set "interruptibleBurst":true. If that doesn't work, there's a bug :)

Not entirely sure how well the AI would handle it, though. It won't appreciate that it might be worth it to keep firing shots that can't possibly hit just to avoid the cooldown. Is that what you're getting at?

oh, just set the burst size equal to the ammo quantity?

Well, I'll try it out and see how the AI handles it.
