Title: Does trading with a faction make it stronger?
Post by: Strangelove on June 27, 2020, 05:23:09 PM
Does trading with a faction make it stronger? Are the goods I sell them used in any way? What about the black market?

Yes and no.  Trading blue prints to the black market will give pirates access to those ships.  Trading supplies to a colony suffering shortages can help with stability issues.  Outside of that, no it will not make a faction any stronger.

Note that you can befriend the pirates with enough work, so selling blueprints to them can be a good thing.

OH! Also if you sell a nanoforge to a main market with heavy industries, they'll immediately install it if it's better. Same with the fuel orb thing.

so technically yes you can make AI stronger if you give them items that increase production (nanoforge, fuel orbs, blueprints, or maybe an Alpha core if you sell on open market as long the faction are not banning AI cores)

the AI does not use Cores in the current ver of the game, they only use nano forge and the fuel production item, they don't use blue print with the exception of pirate, and i think you have to sell them on the pirate black market and no their open market for blue print. because if you sell blue print to pirate open market  they stay there, but if you sell blue print to pirate black market they disappears imminently  which means the pirate just used them.
