1.This mod to some extent makes up for the position of the previous old mod, SaveTransfer. When a player reaches the max level, he/she can record a saving point through the UNGP menu (there is only one saving point in all saves, which could be overwritten). The saving point will save your current credits, blueprints (other than the factory), and the current game cycle number (the new save's game cycle number will be "1").
2.After that, you can start a new game. If you open the UNGP menu within 1 day, you can inherit the saving point, basing on the background you choose, inherit 0~100% of the credits and blueprints , and get extra bonus like skills, skill points and story points.

1. From the second gamecycle, players can choose to enter the Specialist Mode.
2. The specialist mode is divided into 4 levels: Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Omega.
3. The selection rules have a maximum number of rules, which increases with the specialist difficulty level.
4. Specialist mode offers two types of rules: positive rules and negative rules.
Positive rules: consume Cost points and provide you with different benefits for the rest of the game.
Negative rules: providing Cost points to add heavy obstacles to your game
Specialist mode can only be enabled if the total number of Cost points is greater than or equal to 0 and the number of rules is greater than the specified value.
5. Specialist mode can change rules once a year, once in the beginning by default. However, the specialist level could not be changed during the game.

Dulicate the "saves/common" folder(or just files like"UNGP_inherit.data") to the new relative SS path to get the old save points!

    Can not gain Milestone rules anymore.
Trade Embargo: Cost +1 -> +2
Technological Revolution now will have a 50% penalty at most while the total dp is above 240.

This is a great mod, but is there any way to change the percentages from 0-75 to 0-100? I've got a save with relatively few blueprints so I'd like to keep them.

how can i enable back the "recorded savepoint" from my previous Save? my current save got corrupted and i want to inherit my previous save again but its greyed out :/

Is there anyway to enable recording from a previously recorded save again?

As long as you do it in the right order, it will simply not include them when importing. At least I remember it working when I did it last....

> record save point (with the old mod still installed or your game will crash)
> disable mod
> start new game with mod disabled
> import blueprints, disabled mod blueprints will not be included

Bug report. Ships affected by Disarment Agreement penalty stay penalized after rule is removed.
New report, Deep Space fear is doubling all ship's sensor signature, then tripling it.

Both limitations can be lifted.
Recording is in the settings file, unfortunately I can't remember how it is done for inheriting (restoring recorded progress) but unless you forget to do it immediately after beginning a new game this won't be a problem.

I personally don't mind searching for and finding ship/weapon blueprints. I'd like to inherit hullmods for new runs only, because lacking hullmods in the early game is super annoying.

Any chance you could let people inherit specific types of mods?

Edit: Alternatively, if you can tell me how to make the mod not check for anything but Hullmods in my version, that would work too.

You can go to save folder and manually delete all known blueprints.

Found an interesting problem with the 0.95a update. It seems that marines, now having experience ranks, are not detected by the work harder rule. Or rather, they are, but only in their original inexperienced form. As soon as they rank up, it can no longer detect any marines and riots begin to happen.

I've tried rather hard to somehow fix this problem via a couple of edits to UNGP_WorkHard.java, but... well I don't think I know what I am doing. Everything I change has absolutely no effect ingame, even something as simple as setting STRIKE_CHANCE_PER_DAY  to 0.00f.

Strikes continue, warning messages continue, nothing changes. It's rather creepy, honestly.

Could the mod be able to transfer over Officers and their related levels, skills, XP, names and portrait?.

Don't mind much of not transferring much else like ships and colonies and such but would being able to transfer officers like the former Save Transfer used to do?

That was just a pathing issue, I have personally translated it my end. Or at-least 90% of it and can confirm it all works fine. Including the birthday rule set which just required a different path pushed into the CSV line it calls for. It is ofcourse up to the mod maker/author if it is okay to share the changes. Albeit they are sort of all over the place structure wise, but they do work.

Bug issue with Nexerelin interaction with the Trade Embargo and/or Spy rules: markets that the player successfully invades, but transfers to another faction, will keep the negative effects from the aforementioned rules.

I had transfered this market to Blade Breaker Deserters after capturing it, however, it keeps the negative effect to accessibility (and since it is within the core worlds the penalty is quite severe)

The Voyager rule should get a clarification on when fuel consumption buff is being applied since it's not particularly clear if it also applies to gate jumping, triggering emergency burn, Nexerelin raiding and invasions when fuel use is involved and Hyperdrive jumps for those using Sundog's mod.

This is probably incredibly dumb to mention! But I miss the Volturan Lobster rule; I enjoyed picking it when I 'Roleplayed' as Sindrian Diktat during playthroughs. Wish we could see it back, or funny little things like it again.

I finished a cycle with Order 66 challenge, however while it unlocked the new rules for that save, the checkpoint being loaded for a new cycle didn't have it unlocked any more. Anything I can do?

For anyone using this mod and like me, wanting to reduce the modifier amount while still using omega difficulty for example, I found out you can delete rules from the game and bypass limits by going to the campaign.xml file in saves and near the very bottom is a section that goes:

<st>UNGP_cam</st>

If you delete rules here it removes them from your save while ignoring the limitations. I for example have a game where I have just rule per x and rule in a year so that I get positives as I play at random. You do need to start a new game, select 20 rules and then go to delete some but minor issue. There is also a difficulty bit around here but not sure if that would change the set level or not as I haven't messed with it. Hope this helps!

Is there a way to hide the HUD shortcut button in the upper left corner?

I keep thinking it's a jump point in the corner of my eye due to the circular glow. And it's not like many people need a shortcut for it on the HUD given how extremely rarely you need to visit the screen (you can only change stuff like once a year, by default).

Have you deleted the whole mod folder(I mean ungp folder) before unzip the new version?

the bug sentences that "java.lang.RuntimeException: Error loading [data.scripts.utils.UNGP_UIEntityPlugin]" should not be possible. Because this plugin had been completely deleted.

It means you could only choose one golden rule while picking rules... It won't affect other cycles.

I would very much like it if Detente scaled by max fleet size.
I play with very big fleets (100 max), on both sides, so a fixed 15 cap is basically unplayable for me.

Would love to see less Nerf rules, and more interesting interaction rules. Phasing Ghost and Erineyes Protocol add additional enemies, making it fun and engaging. Giving the enemy massive damage buffs, or making your own ships garbage isn't exactly exciting.

Nexerelin currently has a compatibility problem with this mod, it seems like it will be fixed in the official update.

Idk how to change the minimum number of rules, but if you go to:

Open it up in google sheets, excel, whatever. You can alter the costs of all of the rules to be more "charitable," such that you could pick a bunch of gold rules and *** them away, get a bunch of +1 fluff, or just give yourself massive bonuses to things you won't use in order to meet the minimum requirement for number of rules. The whole process is a little less annoying when you decide how much the rules are worth for yourself imo.

Hello, I feel like the "Technological Revolution" OP increase scaling with your fleet's size is really problematic, after playing a bit with it I've found out that whenever I go out to scavenge and pick up new ships the game would suddenly remove stuff from my ships to account for the decrease in OP while I was in the middle of nowhere including important hullmods like safety overrides.

If you feel like that rule is too overpowered then go ahead and nerf the OP increase %, but please don't make it change with your fleet size, it is extremely annoying to have to refit your entire fleet whenever you pick up some ships after a battle.

Awesome mod that is fun to play with. I enjoy how the positive change up the game.

One point though, the -4 summon phase ship debuff shouldn't summon phase ships onto phase ships. What I mean is I cleaned up the battle field of default ships but the summoned phase ship was to causious and fast, ghosting my slow ships that were left in the battle. It then keeped on summoning more and more phase ships. I could kill them but not the speedy one. I won only due to it running out of CR. If you keep it as is I recommend changing it to a - 5 mod.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding but how do I get rid of or at least fix the nexerelin UNGP additions? im trying to do a challenge but for some reason UNGP insists on turning my yang into one of the negative rules from nexerelin. This leaves me with only 1 positive rule in the end (even though I had to take a lot mroe negative rules to get the minimum rule thing, much more than required by the challenge).

Came here to echo what this guy said three months ago.

Always loved the mod, but having my ship loadouts suddenly shift on me in the middle of nowhere is incredibly annoying.

If 4% (where it eventually ends up at) is where you think the endgame balance should be, just please, give us a flat 4% from the get-go without the scaling changes to the rule.

hey- so I was looking at the mod, and I just feel like the time dilation rule is just meaningless
1.03 is almost physically not noticable, and that's on the second to last difficulty
I looked into manually changing the stats to be like 1.1 at the least, and I'm stumped- is there any way we can change some of the numbers?
Excellent mod- but phase ghost is also kinda overkill- for the same price as the underwheming tidi perk, the enemy gets infinite phase ships forever, faster than you can kill them
one doom I can maybe handle- a doom and a phase frigate, questionable- 2 dooms? I can't do that at the start of the game

My last UNGP save had a lot of ship blueprints unlocked, some of which were only available in certain versions of some mods. You can make a copy. UNGP is pretty good at going 'I don't recognize this blueprint; ignore it' instead of crashing. If you only care about your new game count, credits total, or completed challenges, you can start a new inheritance save and then edit those sections of the file, too. UNGP_inherit.data is just a structured text file, so you can copy segments from an old one to a new one.

Edit: You can also use this to empty your blueprint lists if you encounter problems.

It works just fine with 97, I'm using it without problem. You just have to open the mod_info.json file (starsector/mods/UnofficialNewGamePlus) with like Notepad and manually change the gameVersion from "96" to a "97" so that the game can activate it.

If you have AOTD, it looks like it's incompatible with UNGP's specialist widget. To stop it from happening again you can turn the widget off in UNGP's options.ini. It's working for me at least.

Does anybody know how to use corrupted save like storyend file for Unofficial new game plus, so I could start a new game with my previous achievements even without finishing campaign ?

Came here to say if anybody's having any issues with the mod crashing and the crash log contains something like CombatTag or similar, it's not the UNGP's fault but some other mod. I just had to manually enable-disable a batch-by-batch of mods to figure out that I had an outdated mod (Traverser Design Bureau) which had UNGP_rules.csv inside it which is not supported.
If you wanna figure out what mod causes it to crash, check some comments on this thread some people have listed some mods that have similar issues (you might have them enabled), which is most likely due to that UNGP_rules.csv. Simply delete it in the mod files (the mod's files, not UNGP files) and you can play with the mod enabled, it won't crash anymore.

Really don't like Technological Revolution being tied to some sort of DP cost. It's kinda meh!
