Featured:
      The Lanestate Union is a definitely unbalanced faction that revolves around a tall, bulky, mid-line(ish) low-tech armada with a heavy focus on Ballistics and a share of other types from the side. Good OP, compressed armor effectiveness and lots of guns but have very costly maintenance, large fuel costs and high crew requirements. A flat out dumb-fun dakka brigade.

Rough Lore:
Spoiler
      A once forgotten armada of engineers and explorers, sent out on a wide-scale expedition with a pursuit of knowledge among the stars. A compelling campaign that was grown in the Domain for several cycles of the thriving era with a firm relation to their superiors. The old Expanse campaign was a promising feat that go on for centuries. Families worked by the millions to live in the vastness of space with no scarcity, no limitations.
      
      Contributed to the allowance of interstellar travel, massive spaceyards and the growth of humanity that had reached tenfold in its time, sheer bliss and ignorance of growth became a powerful signal to many, portraying its significant contrast to what was of the long lost Luddics on old Earth. The people who had distanced itself from the past for the sake of their own future.
      
      Placing itself as an external component of the Domain, a new state was formed with a distinct interest paving roads outside its pre-existed borders. A Lanestate, shared under the bounds of the gates were colonies live under a single roof. Unforunately for its proximity, the state grew tired of its superiors demands from a faraway capital forcing its enclosure, unbounded by its laws and made their own.
      
      A long forgotten union of colonies dettached from its parent state, further erased by the expanding force of what is now known as the great Collapse. Rumors were called to seal of their gates permanently as it would involve a similar fate with its unregrettably dead homeworld. None of state was heard of since and none was given mention of their existence until their desire to return.

This is an overall pretty good mod, despite the lack of discussion.

My only complaint is that the ELU seems to have too many terran worlds. I mean, they have probably more terran worlds than any faction in the game. Or at least the highest ratio of terran-to-nonterran worlds, and possibly the highest number of terran worlds per system average. Might imbalance the economy.

Yeah. That was actually missing on the modified variant, my bad.

Although bear in mind, it doesn't mean the ship wouldn't take a chunk of the armor when the module blows up since module is recognized as a cruiser and can still make a sizable explosion for it despite being reduced accordingly.

As far as the mod is concerned, it's mostly on how industry script can be implemented. So, it doesn't need a new restart to make it work.

I'm having a similar experience, except that my ship quality bonus is -20% instead and i can't figure out how to get rid of it. It says low stability but the colony is at 9 stability.

You can turn GraphicsLib functionality off while keeping the mod loaded for compatibility, it's in the settings file.

I like what you did with the good old Onslaught sprite. Not a fan of its blue version. Thanks a lot. I appreciate the love of the oversized Onslaught is getting and I do intend to keep it around because of the need to compensate every once in a while. ;)

The XLU variant is getting a refurbishment though since the design isn't in the feel of the same way with the XLU-modified Onslaught.

Thanks for the update man, but there is something I don't know its a feature or a bug: the unusual relationship between XLU and rogue AI fractions (blade-breaker from Dassault-Mikoyan Engineering mod and the [Redacted]), it seem that all rogue AI fractions are not hostile to XLU at all.

The Manganate was actually the first capital ever made into the XLU and yeah, it's pretty dated with the intended goals in mind on how it functions as a battleship. There's been thoughts of its removal since the design isn't fully established after the faction settled, but it does get a replacement that probably keeps what the Manganate made boasting (unintentionally) for.

The Hyvel Twin Driver claims to be an area point defense when it's a Gauss Cannon sidegrade. It also costs far too much flux for what it does.

Fixed in this update. Probably with promises... ?  :-[

So, downloaded the latest version but when I try to start it up it I get this error

I've checked and the xlu_manganate.ship file is in the hulls folder, so I don't know what the source of the issue is.

Edit: Okay so, after deleting and reinstalling the mod, I think the issue is that it is still expecting the manganate to be there? the one I saw was from a previous installation and with the mod reinstalled it isn't there, but it's still throwing up an error for it not being there.

Edit2: I deleted and reinstalled it a second time... and it worked this time. No idea why.

Honestly a bit sad to see the Manganate being removed.  It was pretty neat as a special really rare ship that only would show up now and then.  As it is nice when factions have rare semi one off ships :P  Maybe change it a bit and add it back in as an IBB ship?  As that could be a nifty way to do it.  Have it be a remnant from the start of the faction that you could pick up after fighting it as a one off ship?

Automated ship production is in a pretty odd state to me as well. I don't see odd coding to why the priority behaves this way despite the ship is assigned accordingly and, comparatively to Vanilla, is in the appropriate spot in the ship roles file.

Yes, it’s strange that they removed Manganate, a rather harmless ship much weaker than overslaut. I think the more battleships the better (yes I am a fan of battleships, not frigates) and I really hope that Manganate will return, 3 time bigger, consisting of many parts, and with 20 large gun slots (or this one will be another ship, not so important).

I was pretty conflicted to decide whether to keep the Manganate or remove it since it pertains the typical oversize design it holds. But after realizing that it functions too bizarrely for an Oversized Conquest with a center built-in gun, I just had to remove it.

Probably reconsidering it back but not sure when but I'll get back to it.

I do believe it's more on the issues regarding modular ships, which is still pretty wonky in the current vanilla of the game. I'll see to it if there are fixes for them when they improve.

Something about the XLU starfortress has broken down. The one over vargan is constantly in a "being repaired" state even though it is operational in the colony info.

Not sure if it actually does breaks saves as I've updated the mod and the save works fine so far, but gonna restart since the Nemvis system seems to be missing, no biggie methinks.

Also is reusing the same Seed fine? if you find a good system to colonize and use etc etc

Edit: If the save isn't broken from this update, Should I keep on playing the same save with the current progress or should I start a new game if the system really is missing and itd be better in the long term?

I'm under the impression with the script changing the market as "may require a restart" as standard modding procedure here. But if it doesn't alter or outright brick your save, you're probably golden, I guess.

Reusing the seed is fine, it's there for preset reasons of your choosing. But I don't think it'll change what the map intended to spawn in some way since faction mods spawn their own systems. Usually.

Unless you use map-altering mods like Adjusted Sector, of course.

Well I've decided to start fresh, since the capital missing was just strange, despite the fact the save wasn't bricked by some miracle

I'm actually using Grand Sector, which now that I think about it, its prob rather outdated ish in comparison to Adjusted sectors, which I'd go to since I do tend to use all updated mods and ones that don't really conflict.

Thankfully my rig has enough ram I can allocate to use almost all the mods together, which is roughly 16 Gb and I've assigned 10 Gb, bad idea Ik but so far caused no issues, minor issues here and there with giant battles and afterwards but easily fixed with restarting.

May have to restart the game save since pretty sure moving to Adjusted Sector and removing Grand Sector is bound to break the current map, that and I like large maps, gives more room to go and build it here and there.

Just a heads up that the current version is broken on linux. the mod is referencing "xlu.version" when the file's actual name is "XLU.version". Filenames are case sensitive on linux so this breaks the mod. Renaming the file fixes it though.

Is battleyards broken in the current version again? After I built the first one I cant build any more on other planets in the same system. Industry slot open, size 5, have 2m credits. Just says "Not available"

Edit: Im an idiot, it simply doesnt work with Boggled's astropoli. Works just fine on normal planets.

Can i turn this on mid game? I stupidly didn't turn it on at the start of my latest playthough, and i miss pretty much everything in it.

Much like most of the mods, you have to start a new run so new factions can spawn in at the start.
Otherwise, they won't spawn. While the ships do exist, they won't do materialize without the faction that spawns for them.

The hotfix also includes the Breeze Rounds version 2, Mattock's re-sprite and Cobalt's revision. Inclining the Cobalt to be more of a boxer ship than just a bullet wall.

I've recently picked up and started to enjoy this mod, but I've noticed a couple issues. The Duralumin class lacks any kind of description and the Macrolloy's system doesn't seem to work right in ai hands. It just uses it once and is incapable of toggling it off, even when given a retreat order.

Upon further inspection this is almost certainly caused by the system using the "WEAPON_BOOST" ai type. No vanilla weapon affecting system is a toggle, and all the other siege systems I've seen have a custom ai script.

Hello again, I'm back with a couple nitpicks.

The first is regarding the Pyridoxate, this is a carrier intended to be on the front line, correct? If that is the case then it would benefit from the NO_AUTO_ESCORT tag like the Legion, so it's more inclined to get in there and throw hands instead of shadowing friendly vessels.
The second is a lot simpler, the Ytty defense drones on the Calc class lack a description.

I like this fleet. I really do. I only have a single er... nitpick? issue? Small annoyance? Well its one of those surely. Its the Starliner (XLU). It doesn't feel the same has the rest. It just doesn't feel Blue. Rather it feels kinda just tacked on to the rest of the mod. You did a perfect conversion of the Colossus though and that just makes the odd one out stand out even more to me I think. I don't get that feeling from the Scheelite though. Even though it doesn't follow the Blue theme it does follow the long standing Utility Ship theme so I don't even notice it.
... Maybe some more blue paint will fix it? Or if your willing to go further straight up make your own crew hauler XL. There are not nearly enough stylish utility ships around so no one would mind you adding your own I'm sure. I certainly wouldn't!

Would you specify which ship you are referring to?

If it happens to be a ship with modules (like the Gadolinite, Anthracite or Diaboleite), I'm afraid I can't solve that one, it happens to other mods that have ships with modules that happened to have scroll bar for the Fire Group as well.

The only way I know to mitigate the issue was to scroll down for the UI to "see" every gun in the Fire Group window before auto-assigning them.

started a new game with anthracite and clicked auto assign weapons then it crashed. yesterday i started a game and auto'd the weapons without issue. before starting the run i added more hullmods, then updated legecy of arkgneisis and ss armaa.

Just get a couple of Kalis Superheavy fighters. With 6k range, they will die in 20 seconds.

Awesome!  They’re some really awesome hull mods but you might want to make them more expensive as they are really good.

Also an amusing side thing.  If you're going to the XLU home worlds from the core worlds you'll almost always fly straight over the Alpha site :P  Which means you can more or less see the Alpha Site jump point from the start of the game which isn't too much of an issue.  But still it does mean with this mod you almost find the Alpha Site jump point by default XD

Bug Report: The Uranium's hanger section is missing the "Baseless Module" the other sections have. Also since those pieces have a burn level of 4 it drags the rest of my fleet down hard.

Absolutely loving this mod. I appreciate a challenge, but I also enjoy using the best ships on the occasional playthrough (TT and paragon spam). But that gets old. Most other faction mods are terrified of anything being OP, and as a result the feeling of getting a *very* lackluster capital ship is all too common. Not so with this mod.

Love the heavy dakka dakka sound effects, graphics, ship design, etc. Quality mod!

Particularly the Warbore Assault Cannon and the Bolton Cannon - great bass when those puppies fire in unison from several Kaolinite ships.

Nice. 8) I'm a total sucker for blocky ships and hammerhead designs so I really like ... ALL of this. Just all of it.
With that said, its kinda sad to see the old Rhodochrosite go...
Mind if I throw 3 I.D.E.A.S(tm) at you to see if the old design can still see use?
I.D.E.A.S(tm) 01: Simply downscale the image a bit, remove most of the gun mounts and basically use it has an Atlas reskin? You would then have the Cobble for small time hauling the old Rod for big hauling and then the new Rod for epic hauling.
I.D.E.A.S(tm) 02: Remake it into a carrier! I mean that's an awful lot of runway on deck with a crazy amount of fighter storage underneath. Cargo ships being repurposed into carriers is totally a thing that both has been done and works.
I.D.E.A.S(tm) 03: The ultimate utility ship! A.k.a an upscaled Colossus(XLU). A capital ship with High Res Sensors, Survey Suit, and Salvage Gentry at least. Maybe the ECM and Nav stuff too but not sure if that would make sense. If you go this rout you would then have capital ships for all of a captains utility needs. (Cargo, Fuel, and Utility)

I'm sorry, I had to make the changes were to make the other ships up to date with the current version of game. It's best to keep the current version until the run is done.

Small bug: the included config folder for Industrial Evolution is named 'indiEvo' and not recognized; it should be 'indEvo'.

If there is a way to condemn things in a D&D thing, I would have done it to my fingers already.

Right, I'll work on them.

Additionally, I am aware that Breezer Rounds is causing a lot problems by just existing. So, it's best to stay away from that hullmod until I get the patch up and running. Expect nerfs, since it does a little too well for a raw Damage increase hullmod.

If I may make a small naming suggestion. Since there is an Amboss in another mod (Amboss AC from Tahlan), an alternative display name for the XLU Amboss could be the Pounder (because it's a double Thumper). Just a thought.

If I'm not mistaken, you have to have a certain amount of reputation with the faction in order to have the ability to build either thing.
