Constructing orbital structures like the shades and mirrors to alleviate the heat and cold related hazards would be interesting. They could require blueprints or building slots.

This would be extremely cool (or hot)! I'm not sure if the tech exists in the sector at present to do so, but who knows whats waiting on some far off planet...

I think it can be assumed that if the solar shade in Corvus has drifted off course and never been corrected by the Hegemony in hundreds of years, actually building one is out of question.

That shade is for Asharu, I don't think they Hegemony really cares about it.
