Title: Magazine Clip
Post by: andre2 on January 18, 2018, 09:57:29 AM: In the Weapon discriptions, especially from mod weapons the terminology is wrong for from what the ammo is fed by into the weapon. This is confusing. Example: CEPC

A weapon is fed by a magazine. A magazine can be fed by a clip but does not have to. A weapon is never fed by a clip, only by a magazine or something else (by hand, by a loading mechanism, etc.).

Hence the reason why even rudimentary ballistic weapons have flux buildup.

I skim over and though you said using crews as ammunition.

And they are susceptible to chaos corruption, yes. Never trust the machines.

What about ammunition belts? Wouldn't they be, in fact, just veery long clips? (Probably not, just taking the *** :P )

Also, as I've understood it, cooling is also a large part of proper (ballistic) weapon operation in space. (energy weapons too but that can kinda be handwaved because sci-fi tech)
