So with the removal of deployment point skills and literally any way to increase the amount you get why am i the player limited to such small amounts of ships, where as the AI can, and frequently, deploys enough ships to be in the -100 deployment point zone?
How is one supposed to field large fleets like we used to?
also tangentially the new skill system feels awful.
-
I dunno about you but I can deploy up to 300 deployment points.
The only time I get less is when I am outnumbered as that impairs a penalty to your deployment points when compared to your opponent.

If your deployment point limit doesnt even reach 100 you probably have the battle size setting really low or something, the max is usually 300 like Igncom said

Battlemap size can be changed in Settings within the game (instead of settings.json, although some of that stuff can be set there too). I crank it to the max for maximize carnage.

There is a battle size limit, so in cases where the total size limit is exceeded by both fleets the game distributes more points to the larger fleet as to simulate the fleet size difference.
One non sense trick you can do is to fill your fleet with alot of civilian ships and cheap ships, this way you will get more deployment points then the AI

Ahh that explains it, that wasnt a thing the last time i played.
