Does "vmparams" exist in Linux/OSX installs?
Is it configured to the host platform? (e.g. is -Djava.library.path=XYZ set appropriately)
and is it used by those platform's respective launchers? (In fact, do Linux/OSX installs have launchers equivalent to Windows' starsector.exe?)

I'm nearing deployment of a little project I've been working on, SSME (Starsector Mod Expander)*, and want to make sure my assumptions of how Starsector is launched on other platforms are correct.

*A necessary prerequisite to my MP mod.

Never mind, downloaded the other 2 distributions & answered it myself.
Looks like using the vmparams is out.
:edit:

Erf, how the fek do mac bundles work  :-\
I'm using a wrapper app to launch com.fs.starfarer.StarfarerLauncher - how would I go about deploying such a mod on OSX? :S

I understand linux pretty well, it's quite easy as the data isn't compiled into a core folder- making it a bit messy but, very simple potentially as well.
