Mission Pack
A very large collection of missions using vanilla ships generated with MissionMaker
It should be compatible with everything that doesn't change vanilla ships or variants.

This mod is primarily an example of MissionMaker. However, I have also wanted to make a mod of just missions for a while, so I will continue to add more missions.

Right now, it adds 28 missions:

Mission Pack 0.11 has been released. It contains one new mission, Caught Pirating.

If you want me to make a specific mission, feel free to ask.

If you manage to beat the Caught Pirating mission, you are officially better at Starsector than me. :)

I'm not 100% sure if I picked the correct difficulty for this one. Tell me if you think it should be rated HARD.

Have any of you beaten Caught Pirating yet?

Mission Pack 0.14 has been released. It contains two new missions: Desperate Defense and Look Who Lost Their Way.

Desperate Defense is another almost-impossible one that I haven't beaten.

I took a break from the near-impossible missions and made an easy one. Tell me if you think it should be rated easy or medium.

I just realized that the Assassination mission isn't working properly.  :'(

You're supposed to win after destroying the Dominator, but it isn't working... I'm using a call to api.defeatOnShipLoss(), but it isn't working. If anyone has an idea to get it to work, I'd appreciate it. More missions will be coming soon.

Mission Pack 0.25 Release

Seven new missions! But... four of them are 'duel' missions. That means that they are a battle between 1/2 ships against 1/2 ships in a thick asteroid belt. I apologize to those of you with old computers who can't handle the asteroids.  :-[

You're going to have to give me some ideas for missions if you want the 'duel' missions to stop. :) I'm all out of ideas.

And there's a new impossible mission: Final Push. Good luck with that one!  ;)


I don't know if a mission pack qualifies as a mod, but if it does, I would appreciate it if a moderator would move this to the Mods forum. If it doesn't, could you please tell me the criteria for the Mods forum?

I'd recommend you have series of missions that follow a storyline, say, Dave's Big Delivery Day, followed by Dave runs for his life, and then finish it with Dave gets his big uncle Hedgy to show those bully pirates not to mess with Dave.

Or maybe see if you can compliment one of the fan fiction stories (after getting permission of course) with a mission featuring one or some of those craft.

I still reckon the Dave Trilogy needs a feature though xD

All you really need is a working download, and for a moderator to notice it's not in the Mods forum already *cough*. Or you can just ask. :)

A SS version tag ([0.65.2a]) in the thread title is also helpful, as it a) makes mods easier to spot by title alone, and b) makes keeping the Mod Index up-to-date much easier.

Mission Pack 0.28 Release

Three new missions! They aren't much of a challenge, but they're pretty funny (Thank you CrazyDave.)

I'm still open for more ideas though. :)

(I know there are a lot of missions now. If you feel like you're getting swamped by them, you can disable missions by going to 'MissionPack/data/missions/mission_data.csv' and deleting certain missions.)

This one's pretty hard, but I managed to beat it. I'll make some sort of honorary mission for the first person to beat an IMPOSSIBLE mission (Just make sure you have a screenshot to prove it. :))
