custom weapons in ship maker.

for those making custom weapons even if its a modified weapon.
if you want to add it to a variant in the shipmaker then you need to place the data and relevant files in the starsector core files for it to appear

No you don't. You have to load the mod data as proposed in the shipeditor or the settings.
