I just want to thank everyone again for their time. What a great game. I'm assuming my saves not being able to load is a RAM problem. That's amazing because I have 8 gigs and nothing else running.

Sounds like you are running with the 32 bit java that came with SS and/or you haven't changed the memory allocation settings in the vmparam file.
