Can Beams detect collisions with ~friendly~ Fighters?
« on: April 02, 2014, 08:14:06 PM »

Is there a way to make that happen?  I use the FIGHTER collision type for Frigates, and it's borking my implementation of a repair mechanic; works fine on Destroyer+ but doesn't work at all on Frigates.

Afraid not - looking at the code, literally nothing can hit a friendly fighter.

Could you use the AOE effect on jump of Cycerin's scalar deracinator? That messes up allied fighters pretty badly.
