Where is your Mod? - System Map of the known Modiverse
« on: September 16, 2013, 02:47:28 AM »

With the advent of starsystems, and people no doubt being eager to throw their system in at some point in hyperspace without really caring what other people are doing, I figured it would be nice to know where other people's systems are, to ease any 'multiple-mod-mayhem' of overlapping systems.

This thread shows the map of the mods submitted here, such that it can facilitate discussion of locations of mods, built around the 0.6a systems, to allow them to maximise compatibility with other mods.

This isn't meant to be 'official', more a handy way to let modders avoid clashes if they so choose to do so.

Can't get my mods to work right now, but I'm replying anyway, so I can easily follow this thread.

I am aiming to have New Hiigara somewhere in the lower left (Right 2, down 5) and Bushi as far away as possible (top-left square).
Also haven't decided on a name for Bushi's system yet.

Might not be a bad idea to sticky this under the Faction API Color thread thing. This is going to be good information going forward :)

Stickied for now. Hopefully this is helpful in the context of 0.6a, reworded the OP a little.

Don't want this to come across as some sort of 'official list of mods', but in reality modders will benefit from knowing where other modders are putting their systems, I guess :)

Would be nice if this is used to generate discussion as well? Realise there is a bit of a conflict between mods being added one at a time, expecting them to be ran alongside others, and system-wide adjacencies? (i.e. if you want a remote system, this can either be too remote or not remote enough by the locations of others ... discuss particular concerns here?)

Also would be great to see any pure vanilla system modders out there ??? Anybody fancy creating a new 'vanilla' system with some interesting things going on?

Don't know if the Homesystem of the Thule Legacy would fit on that map, it's supposed to be reaaaaallly far away from the known core systems.

It makes the player need to buy large fuel transport ships to get there and thats great

Gneiss, the Blackrock home system, is @ 4200, -6200. It will probably be further away in the future when the game grows.
