Now dont get me wrong, I like random mission skermish. I just find two faults with it.

1 it is not all inclusive with the ship variant list.

2 I enjoy setting up both sides of a fight.

All I really ask is a little ingame mini mission builder, select ships from the variant list drag and drop fasion and just duke it out no regrets style.

I doubt this will happen any time soon with a billion other things on the todo list for starfarer, but if you're a focused enough person to enjoy setting up challenges for yourself, then you're probably capable of writing up a quick mod to do this for yourself.

There's not a whole lot to it, I'll walk you through if you're keen

I do think it's a planned feature, it'll just be a while. The campaign is more pressing than more mission work at this point.
