cycerin are you planning on expanding the amount of ships and campaign integration? If you dont plan on working on them yourself anymore could i sure them in my parlay pirate mod? We could even bundle forces and combine the 2 mods if you want.

Hmm, I'd rather keep working on this mod with Uomoz. Thanks for the offer, though!

Just posting to let you all know I intend to release this as a proper minimod, since Uomoz is using this stuff in USS anyway. Also, meet the Tiger-class frigate.

The brainchild of a still-unidentified rogue Tri-Tachyon weapons engineer, the Tiger-type frigate is, essentially, a naked flux conduit framework nestled around a reactor and shield emitter, with engines tacked on. Featuring several energy weapon emplacements and a rudimentary high energy focus system, it's a deadly frigate, capable of threatening even expensive warships. Fortunately, since the production is centered on one cartel, it's not in wide circulation.

Needed something to get your mind of Blackrock eh? Doing a good job nonetheless, I always thought pirates needed ships of their own, Try has the hight tech, the Dictat covers the middle and Hegenomy the lower end, leaving pirates without an identity of their own.

Cool ship, i'm wondering though, will those come with new weaponry? Or all vanilla?

All vanilla weaps so far. This isn't really an effort on the level of Blackrock, where the mod's weaponry can entirely replace vanilla weapons if you so please. At most I might make some new *** weapons like a medium Light Mortar type weapon or a large-slot, dual mounted Thumper. ;D

Meduim mortar could be really cool. Just give it half the damage and half de flux rate of the mauler and it could be one of my weapons of choice

I've been playing USS as Pirates recently, and the PP ships do add another incentive to play such an unforgiving early game. The Shark and Bull aren't exactly powerful ships in their own right, but they are sneaky. A Bull with a Hellbore and HVEL that gets left alone does an absolute ton of damage.

I like the look of these guys. The new ships actually give a reason for the player to be a pirate, rather than just beat up on them during the early game.

By the way, no independent download link? I like UsS but it's a total conversion and i'd like to try those pirates with some other factions.

The 0.6 compatibility was Uomoz' work and I haven't gotten around to making the mod stand on its own two legs yet. Gotta add these new ships and playtest them a bit first.

Really liking this stuff - a nice contrast to Blackrock, must be fun!

I realize this is quite a bump, but any chance on this ever being updated to 0.65? Pirates plus is an excellent mod with well balanced ships which suit the theme of the game.
