Summary
Galatia Complete is the Ultimate space faring music collection for Starsector. Adds a grand total of 126 pieces of music totaling to over 7.5 hours of listening time.

The tracks are hand picked and put together to increase immersion. Many of the tracks are space orchestra style. Some have light chorus vocals with no words. Some of them are ambient and very many of them are instrumental. There won't be any tracks that will break immersion; so this means there are no rap, metal, pop, dub-step, and jazz music. Title music is calm and exciting; campaign music is exploratory and calming; battle music builds up to be thrilling and epic.

It works just like any other mod you'd install and will not play the original two repetitive Starsector music tracks.

Compatibility
I made the mod move later in the load order, it should be fine as long as no other music mods supercede it.

BTW:

"replace":[
"data/config/sounds.json",
]

Inside your mod_info.json gets around the multiple music mods problem.

@Chronosfear
No Problem.

@Romeo_One
Will that mess with mod sounds? Or just replace the 3 music entries I changed?

Edit:
I believe it replaces the entire file.

It does, but unless you play with alot of mods it shouldn't matter.

Is it possible to move this thread to the Released mod section?

This compilation is pretty solid, but my main gripe that starsector combat is bit too fast paced for some of the slow moving build-up of the combat tracks of other space games. Then again its just my opinion, so +1 anyway.

I've been told that I needed to update the mod; I will when I get my new computer built.

OK I just updated my music collection mod. No new tracks were added I just removed the music.bin format that I used previously and updated the sound.json to split half the campaign tracks for hyperspace. I also re-ordered some tracks that were too slow for battle.

This is a complete mod, though I may make a add-on since my 4x Space Music Library has grown exponentially since 2013. I'd appreciate if this was brought to the Mod Index by a Admin.

Good to see more music centered mods around here. Can't wait to use this.

Interesting mod, though quite harsh on the "first contact". By which I mean the music change is so drastic it's like "alien" for a while. It also appears to be few steps louder than vanilla, so I had to turn the music down from 75% down to 5% to make it more fit in line. But after a while... huh...

I enjoy it. It's different, that's for sure. But some tracks are really good. If someone's going for long explorations they'll definitely get the most out of this little mod - but if someone's jumping between stations/other, the music will be cutting quite a lot so there's that.

But it's a good mod. I like it.

I hadn't made any volume adjustments to level out the tracks with vanilla yet.
