Would be cool if it reversed the targeting on the missiles so that they would attack the ship that launched them. I'm not sure how feasible that would be, but it would be cool to see.

That would be an awesome perk, system or hullmod! Doesn't fit to a Weapon, though.

The game was completed 8 years ago and we get a free expansion every year.

Arranging holidays in an embrace with the Starsector is priceless.

Make it better:

Remove the rule that requires it to fire 3 times at any one target.

Reduce OP to 18.

Increase the rate charges regenerate.

Why not totally remake it similar to a big real life PD: Oerlikon Revolver Autocannon.
An energy vulcan cannon with a big range.
Also, a weird reload mechanic: 400 shots ready. once expended takes 10 reconds to reload.

I'd love the *** out of that.

Cool but not practical. Most missiles woudn't even reach the target due to bad turn rate and low fuel.

And also give a significant advantage to unguided rockets/torpedoes

Make every laser on the Guardian capable of independent targeting! (probably not feasible)

I don't know why, but that multi-target pd idea is kinda appealing to me... but probably alot of work, but if it brings a bit of variety to a fairly bland subset of Energy PD then I'm for it.
