One Shot Button and More Weapons Group

Add a key to shoot weapons without selecting them, it is useful for weapons that do not require aiming like missiles on hardpoint. For example in the conquest to fire lrm while i have selected the torpedoes waiting for the moment to use them.
For the big ships it could be useful a 5° weapon group.

To be honest I agree with you. A hotkey for things such as missiles would be nice!

Why not just have custom weapon groups for customization. Maybe for balance you could have a limit of fire control stations and thus you could't bind weapon combinations for every situation.

I believe ship loadouts can be done in the next update which I assume setting up custom weapon groups would be supported. You'd have to get Alex to confirm this though as I'm not entirely sure (or wait until the update) :D

With bigger ships and more weapons selection i feel these two suggestions are even more important, i think at least 6 weapons group are needed:

1 kinetic
2 energy/explosive
3 spammable missiles
4 torpedo
5 point defense
6 point defense missiles

I agree with the six weapons groups. But to be honest I see no reason to not have even more. We may never use it, but ten groups would cover every need.

well me when i got pilum LRM i always make them auto fire, and they do fire auto at the second its have a target, so i dont have to bother about it :)

 but i agree with more group, i have many time seen a situation on capital ship where i would have like a 5th group

Are we going to see a direct-fire key bind for groups?
So I can for instance, bind mouse 4 to fire a group of my choice without having to switch to it?
It would shortcut the current process of change group -> fire -> change group back.
