Minecraft is only good with mods anyway. Once Jeb took over the game took a steep dive as opposed to the downward slant it was already going on.
Agreed

I'm an off and on Minecraft player.  I'll play it for hours everyday for like a month, then not touch it for six or more months.  Usually it takes some type of major update or a really cool mod to get me back into it.  Last time it took Tekkit to get me back into the game, now I don't think I could ever play vanilla again because tekkit is to good.  Vanilla just doesn't have enough to do from an SSP point of view.

I think it is a good game, you in my experience, you either love it or you hate it.  but ya tekkit is amazing, and it you want to see a cool build, look up broville, one of the best builds ever, i'm still finding new stuff, although it has not been updated silence beta

I like them putting more effort in the adventuring.
now minecraft is the most diverse game i know having strategic, creative and action elements.
My only complaint about it is the combat system.

About the mods. minecraft is perfectly fine without them but only for a set of time.
Sandbox game gets more boring after you build everything you wanted to build, mods add a lot more dimension just as adventure maps do.

if you dont want minecraft to be an advanture game than just play on creative and ignore the rest.
minecraft is a sandbox game. you decide what yiou use!
for me minecraft is a game which has infinite variaty ,so i dont complaint (expect about the combat system).

The game is fun, but I doubt I would play it online, a bunch of kids that play that game, roblocks I think it's called, they overran all the servers. screaming in mic and abusing admin. :'(

Online gives it a complete new dimension!
there are plenty of servers which work perfectly fine and dont have screaming kids.
yoiu might wanna look for a whitelist server. you need to apply to such servers to be able to join.
(keeps all the screaming kids away)
