What should I choose?
« on: October 05, 2012, 10:03:11 AM »

I want to buy: Just Cause 2 for the multiplayer on PC ( bearing in mind that I have over 250 hours on PS3),FTL or Crashtastic. Which one is most important? They're all ~£10... ???

Just Cause 2 has multiplayer?

EDIT: In that case I vote for Just Cause 2.

But I only have £11 :( (I'm not that far down-it's just the bank deciding that giving me an empty account for my debit card was a great idea...)

If you've never played it before, FTL. Just Cause 2 might be good, but it's not as good as the first 100-odd hours of FTL. I only just discovered an entirely new quest, and I've almost 100%-ed the game.

I got bored of FTL after 2 playthroughs tbh..

Quests are great and all.. its just REALLY repetitive..

FTL. Beautiful game and it'll last you atleast a few playthroughs. I personally got about 200 hours into it and i have NO idea HOW.

If you're so strapped for cash, wait until the Steam sales.
Just Cause 2 is always 75% off (£3.49) in these events, and I would wager that FTL will be discounted too (probably 50% off through the entire event, and 75% off for one day).

Though JC2 has been as cheap as £2.49 (Steam key from Gamersgate).

If you do buy FTL before the sales, buy it direct from the developer's website in US$ using paypal; it'll cost a little less ($10 = £6.44) and you get both a DRM-free copy AND a Steam key. (plus the developer gets a larger share of the revenue)

If you are going for steam, wait for christmas. They knock the prices down insanely, entire £230 packs of every game a dev has made for like 39.98 or something. Even better, these are like Bethesda, THQ etc.
