maneuvering system help[solved]

please go to the last reply for question

1: how to set an engine to be seen only during using maneuvering jets?
like the 2 front engine of the conquest hull..

2: how to make a burn drive go reverse?
i.e. when it's active it's going back

3:the engine length is related to the accelerated speed regardless of the engine direction right?
that mean if i put an engine facing forward, i can't really make it only full throttle going reverse right...

I am making a hit & run ship, a special op 300 meter cruiser class employ a hit and run tactic. As the large engine facing forward imply it's really good at escape...i hope

Burn drive can't be set in reverse.

Look in the conqest .ship file and search for the code, I don't know it at the moment.

And locations of the engines has no effect on the speed of the ship, dictated in the ship_data.cvs file.

And holy...where did that model come from?  I used to model weapons for various games (Men of War, Company of Heroes, etc. as a modder), but I can't see something with that much detail on it... o.O

the conquest.ship engine is all normal to me, using midline for style and nothing out of order...

And i just use plugin to generate some square box on the surface...nothing related to my skill unfortunately. Never find this plugin useful and sudden it's all essential now lol

See the "contraiSize": 128
That's the engines for the maunvering jets.  Anything contained within that code for that engine is a manuvering jets engine.  Ask Alex, I've no idea why he did that. ;D
And I'm talking about the sheer detail of the model itself, not the boxes. :)

is there some genius way to make the extra engine (that activate only with the maneuvering system) never goes full throttle?
I just need it to glow but don't want it to go full throttle for the last pic depicted what happened...


seems no way to fix the backward and forward engine light together....
I should get into the code more before adding ships :(

somehow fixed....using an empty engine and only use the shipsystem engine glow to represent it's activated....guess that's the best i can do for now
