Oh wow.

Just watched the video on the site.

I'm not sure my reasons for not partaking in this Kickstarter at the time (I'm sure I saw it), but nevertheless this is definitely a day-one purchase for me (in theory, I'll probably have to wait a week in reality).

This looks really, really cool.

I highly recommend. Haven't has as much fun with a game since Starfarer. Though A Valley Without Wind came close.

I wrote a review of the game on mah blog. Next post will probably be about starfarer.  :)

Stayed up late watching recorded streams of this. Very excited now, and I've gone and pre-ordered the soundtrack, which also sounds particularly cool.

Ben Prunty is fantastic.

Hope the game lives up to your expectations.  :)

This game seems to be turning into a minecraft-esque phenomenon.

Skipped on the kickstarter (too sceptical :P), but will definitely be buying it as soon as I can.

Oh, what do we have here?

Yeah, FTL releases tomorrow, and I'm super excited to see how it goes.

I tossed $100 at the kickstarter for both this, and Star Command (the second kickstarter, for PC port), and I've been following them every step of the way.

I knew I wanted to support them from the moment I saw their first video presentations. What's not to love?

On a somewhat related note, I became horribly depressed when I found out that I missed the chance to support the Two Guys SpaceVenture (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/spaceventure/two-guys-spaceventure-by-the-creators-of-space-que). I loved the Space Quest series dearly.

Oh well. At least it got funded without my help ;)

Considering getting this on release (2 hours) and I can probably afford the £6 odd it will cost. Not sure how long it would last me though.

FYI you can buy it direct from the developer here: http://www.ftlgame.com/

It's 10% cheaper than Steam ($9 = £5.74 if you pay via PayPal), you get a DRM-free copy to download immediately, and they give you a Steam key too.

Thank you kind sir, you saved me just enough money to afford it.

Bought it this morning and have been playing like a madman. Just now stopping to take a break (my eyes are killing me and I'm starving). I really loving this game.

PS: Thank you icepick for bringing this lovely game to my attention.

You're welcome. Just noticed lots of us on the forum have similar tastes in gaming.  :)

My only dilemma over this game is whether to get it on Steam or on FTL website... I'll probably go with FTL website since the key they give you works with both Steam and DRM free version on their site.

I just bought and downloaded the game from their website, and I'm about to start playing it now. Am greatly looking forward to this.

No idea.  :/  Does it show up in your library? Presumable it'll tell you where it put things somewhere.
