ive set in options some where to use internet explore to open files which is broken how do i change that

Open files with IE? How is that even possible? Have you tried downloading another browser? Or using the "Open with" on the files.

no kidding it was soooooooooo cheap mindows xp 64 bit so many updates

 when IE opens it, it crashes all webpages

That sounds really weird. How about using "Open with" or is that not possible on XP?

What's wrong with XP?

It's very outdated. They recently stopped sending out updates for it.

They did? I thought they were going to continue security updates until April 8th 2014.

I know I got it cause it was cheap and I have some leftover office software for it, I soon regretted when I dribbled across windows 7 ultimate for 100$. Fail

They did? I thought they were going to continue security updates until April 8th 2014.
They either stopped updating it, or they stopped the support for it. Not sure which. But either way, they're trying to get people onto the newer OS's, both because it's safer, and more powerful, but also because they want more money.

And I agree, for lower end computers, it's still pretty good. But for the higher ends, windows 7 is really worth it, just for the extra potential in power.
