Awesome change, especially with fighters trying to avoid individual missiles. Watching a talon wing deploy from a carrier after refit and run smack bang into an incoming Pilum volley straight away, ending with the wing heading right back was particularly irksome.
More independence of individual fighters will also help avoid the whole "only the wing leader can attack" sort of thing that's been a minor problem with fighters for a long while.
Huzzah for AI improvements!

Strange. I see lots of fighter strafing and less fly overs in my games (they are modded, but nothing regarding AI was changed). Perhaps manoeuvring jets put on those fighter do the trick?
