Hide UI option on Title Screen
« on: August 23, 2012, 11:59:32 AM »

While I'm at work, I love booting up my laptop next to me and opening up Starfarer just to have ready to go for a quick lunch time skirmish.  I love watching the environment and random flight of ships and even a little combat.   Can we get like an inactivity timer that hides the UI on title screen and we can leave it running the beautiful environment and action!

I know this is probably really low on priority, but it would be soo cool :)

Bonus if we can set a custom list of battle groups, or an objective in center of screen for them to fight over :)

In short, if you throw a stone out of the rear window of your spaceship you will go faster.

Do I really want to raise the dead?
In this case I would argue it is warranted; great suggestion!

I'm pretty sure that there's been another suggestion similar to this one pretty recently.

The reason for the "no necro" rule isn't that a thread is automatically irrelevant after time passes. Though, in some cases, yeah, the conversation applies to an older version of the game and that can be confusing. But a big part of it is that it may not be immediately obvious to someone that some of the posts are super old, and someone might respond to them expecting to get into a conversation, etc. It's just... well, it can get confusing.

I'd say the better way to go for something like this is to make the same suggestion again! The thread is more likely to get some activity, too, since for a necro'ed thread, the people that *are* aware it's a necro are less likely to post in it even in response to the more recent posts.
