white screen + freeze after explosion
« on: August 04, 2012, 07:01:27 AM »

I just encountered this for the first time. After the explosion of a Buffalo Mk.II the screen went white as it should but stayed like this, sound frozen, but cursor still movable. I will give the word should it happen again.

This happened to me once, though it seems I had paused the game since hitting space fixed it.

It just happened again, in the simulator, Odyssey vs. Conquest. I *think* that one ship was caught in the explosion of the other and detonated too, but I'm not sure. It was definitely not just paused but frozen solid. Never happened in the old Version. No one else experiencing these?

Hm, well, I've noticed the game occasionally hangs for a couple seconds at completely random times, but no freezes.

Hmm. I'm unable to reproduce this so far (including trying multi-ship explosions), and don't see any potential infinite loops in the whiteout flash code (which it sounds like it could be). Any more details would be appreciated, if it happens again.
