Vanilla, High Intensity Laser, massive *explosive* damage at 1k range in an energy slot stands out is extremely oppressive.

Vanilla, Falcon (P), extreme mobility and missile firepower with a ton of spare flux for shieldtanking in bursts.

Vanilla, Paragon, 4 converging large mounts is a broken amount of fire power.

There are different ways to be balanced or not so from what I played with:

Imbalanced as a whole (most of the mod is too powerful or too weak)
Neutrino
Ed Shipyard

Spiky (the mod is balanced for the most part, but there are a few nasty outliers)
Polaris Prime
Approlight (has been patched again recently, may be good now)
PRV
Tahlan Shipworks
Seeker Ship Pack

Overtuned/Undertuned (nothing is outright imbalanced but everything is top of the line/bottom of the barrel, making the mod overall stronger/weaker than vanilla)
Mayasuran Navy
DME
Xhan Empire (slightly too weak)

Balance paradigm shift (the mod introduces mechanics so far removed from the base game that it is hard to compare. Not imbalanced but requires different tools to be dealt with.)
Foundation of Borken
Knight Templars
Karlsson Heirloom
Kingdom of Terra
ICE
The Vass

Balanced
Blackrock Driveyard
Diable Avionics
Disassemble Reassemble
Interstellar Imperium
Legacy of Arkgneisis
ORA
Scy Nation
Shadowyard Reconstruction Authority
Ship and Weapon Pack
Sylphon RnD
Tiandong Heavy Industries
Torchships and Deadly Armaments
Underworld

Probably Blade Breaker from Dassult Mikoyan
For blade breaker faction: (not playable)
All them ships are monsters:
Sparrowhawk: an Escort Cruiser, but can tank capital ships way above its class. And not just tanking, it can LITERALLY play close combat with a Radiant class from [REDACTED].
Onslaught and Conquest stand little chance to defeat it. very powerful shield, fast, able to do short teleport UP TO 6 TIMES, and the thing can carry 2 wings!
Devil ray: Phase cruiser, fast, shred your shield like a champ. Leave more than two of this wrestling with your capital ship and you are dead. And yes, it carry wings too!
This mod provide one of the most powerful wings ever exist for star sector. Its bomber cost you 30 OP, for power above that point. Destructive, powerful, tanky. Take one full group of bomber and so bye bye your capital ship.

Ah yea you can play as "Blade breaker deserter". Basically Blade Breaker but a bit weaker.... Just a bit weaker...
BB have no capital ship, but... You dont even need one...

Thats not the true power of BB tho...
It have a Super Dreadnought... Yea... Not dreadnought.... Its SUPER.
That thing can kill two space stations at the same time, if you give it the right gears...
Pick one of the ship and so you become unstoppable.

For weapons alone, since i'm missile user, just pick dust missile from ED shipyard (small and large one). And pick thunder missile from approlight mod (medium)

Dust missile split 12 missiles per time. Perfect tracking, range above 2500. Kill frigates near instantly.
Thunder missile deal BOTH explosion damage and shield damage, deal tons of damage, perfect tracking. Eat 6 of this and it overload Paragon, and 6 more to kill it. Nothing more to say.

Anvil: has too many onslaught variations.

Is there an LGBTQ version whose burn drive is a rainbow and it shoots rainbow TPC?

Of the established mods, DME and Shadowyards are off the charts OP.

In case of DME that's before you get your hands on some Blade Breaker tech. Even "basic" DME weapons are often straight up upgrades of vanilla stuff, and their carrier spam has many deadly fighters and bombers to choose from.

Shadowyards comes with a strong carrier setup combined with pretty powerful line ships, and one that can 1-shot even capitals now that it was "fixed". It's just ridiculous stuff.

Karlsson Heirloom and Seeker are mine too, and they aren't balanced yet. Now to be perfectly fair, ORA's Enlightenment is underpriced but that will be fixed soon enough.

DME ships are some sort of midline and high-tech crossbreed with an excellent aesthetic.
Their ship quality vary from meh to alright regarding frontline ships (frelon and tunguska for example) however their carriers are very good, especially d'erlon and Normandie.
The ships show their true colours once given the faction fighters and armament.

-Traceur (which some also get integrated) is a straight salamander upgrade.
-Kinetics are accurate, efficient, and either have massive damage per hit or sustained salvos.
-Most also get integrated frag pd, on top of available small slots, meaning that if you want to be missile immune, you can.
-Most fighters are good, the highlight being the mystère, carrying the equivalent of mini-locusts
-Add to all of them some on-hit bonus damage such as energy/explosive.

The result of good+good+good is top tier carriers that can also brawl it out, i love them but it feels unfair toward the enemy.

And the blade breakers? Their nerfed versions available to construction aren't that powerful, however you get to one of each of their ships available for recovery, and the Sparrowhawk is the equivalent of a protagonist ship, with top of the line everything.

Okay, hold on a sec; obviously you're talking about the Mimir here, but I have to ask what capital ships is it one shotting? Because it's not supposed to be doing that and hadn't done that in any of my testing before getting the most recent round of patches out.
