List of immersive mods

Hello everyone! Hope this is right place to ask :) Does anyone have list of mods that are rather expanding existing features/lore/ships/weapons and does not break starsector immersion by mechanics/looks/etc. ? I mean as close to "canon" as possible ;) I'll be very appreciate if someone can provide one! Thanks! Currently playing on 0.9.1a with libs and Nexerelin so far.

See: Captain Trek's Guide

It's opinionated but does a good job of trying to rate mods based upon how close they are to vanilla mechanics. It's not really "canon" as that doesn't exist yet for an in-development game, but it's probably exactly what you are looking for as a guide to what mods do.

Well, some Mods offer really awesome ships that could blend well in the universe, BUT some of them also have portraits / music / decorations that ruins the immersion.

For example, Imperium ships: okay, i find them great IMHO. Oh wait ! Space centurion with space brush helmets ?! Hmmmm not fond of...  ;D

By the way, how do you "remove" custom portraits from a faction mod ?

Humans LARPed as the Western Roman Empire for almost 1500 years after it fell. Who's to say it won't come back into fashion 1500 years hence? :P

Sorry saw this and forgot to reply. Go to the faction file under data\world\factions. The portraits the faction uses are defined there (towards the bottom usually). You can comment those out by adding a # in front of the line.
