PIrate, Pather and Expeditions/Inspections success chances
« on: February 25, 2020, 08:58:15 PM »

Success chances of Pirates raids, Pathers plots, Expeditions and Inspections are affected by distance from attacker to target. The further the target, the less chances of success. Pirates and Expedition/Inspection ships should also suffer from increasing max CR limits for increasing distance.

If an Expedition fails, one of their industries of the same type they had targeted has a chance of being disrupted. Chance of disruption increases with the power of the sent fleet.
Eg: They target your Heavy Industry and then fail, one of their Heavy Industry might get disrupted.

How would distance alter the success of a raid? Fleet don't really get dragged down by long distance travel. As long as they have enough fuel it's fine, and as long as they have a pile of supplies it's also fine. CR damage through storms isn't a huge factor except for the few ships which are still under repair.

Also why would a failed expedition against someone's Mining industry cause the attacker's own Mining to be disrupted?
