Calodine, all three ships that you posted look somewhat imbalanced indeed.
A good way to try and balance a ship is to use the ship.data.CSV from the vanilla game as a tool. copy and paste your new ship string in the appropriate hull-size section, and just compare what you make with what the vanilla ships already have in stats.
For example, take the Eagle variant that you made and compare it to the original:
double the speed
almost double the OP
best shield in the game
INU on a cruiser with 5 (!) large mounts
more flux than a Conquest
You see the pattern there? No amount of hull, armor or turning rate nerf can compensate with that.
Also, the fact that the AI is not utilizing the ship at all is really a downer if you think about it (since half of the fun is flying against a ship that you made).
