Hello,

I bought the game today after seeing quill18's series and so far i've been unsuccesful getting it to work.

As soon as i doubleclick the .exe i get a small screen flicker and nothing else.

steps i've taken trying to resolve the issue:

-made sure my system met minimum requirements
-update my JAVA (running version 8 update 231)
-update my drivers
-tried http://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=14362.msg236049#msg236049 still didn't work (nor did any error message pop up)

What else can i do to try and get it to run?

If you did everything Alex said and didn't solve, all you have to do is uninstall it and download it again. And do the installation process again by clicking on the exe. as admin If you have not already.

It would help to see the command line output when you do this. (Early candidate is the _JAVA_OPTIONS variable being set on your system, in which case removing it from your environment variables would resolve the issue, but it might also be some other sort of problem.)

Spot on about the _Java_OPTIONS, removing it solved my issues and i'm a happy space camper. Cheers for replying this quickly!
