Quartermaster reputation for station storage discount

Currently then you help and gain planet/station quartermaster reputation this affects nothing so if this reputation reduces for example storage monthly cost fee it would be logical or maybe access to some additional mission intel for this system.

Does personal reputation do anything at all? I wonder if it's a system that will get expanded upon, or if it's one of those ideas that seemed cool but just ended up too low on the list of priorities.
