Is there plans for becoming an AI yourself and oherwise causing a Singularity?

So, I'm a sucker for options to become an AI, such as Stellaris' Synthetic Evolution path. Because of all of the [REDACTED] stuff in the game, I'm curious if it's planned to have the player character be able to eventually "ascend" to become an AI, and lead a new faction of [REDACTED] to conquer the galaxy? Maybe even make friends with other AI Cores.

I think it would be a fun game type.  AI game start.

I like the idea of a [REDACTED] start option, although I think we wouldn't see such thing as part of an official update for a long time. But I'd love to see a mod that gives this option in the meantime.

what would it add though?

A normal guy could feasibly do the exact same thing since you'll be able to use cores as officers soon. AI cores aren't exactly the "destroy all humans" type, at least not by default

An AI core start would be neat tho
