I am thinking about making a mod that adds more items to add to industries

Is this idea even possible? am thinking about items to the light industries,military base,farming/aguaculture and mining.i was inspired by a post on suggestions regarding this.

Yes it's possible, I'm playing with the idea myself. It's a bit of work though and you need knowledge of Java.
