Getting Modded Weapon to Lead right
« on: September 29, 2019, 03:24:10 PM »

Hi I have a beam weapon that I'm setting up as a PD weapon and the ai gives the target way too much lead.  The beam travels more or less instantly but the ai shoots it a bit ahead of the weapon.  How do I go about fixing that?  Is it via tags?

Is the beam's fire point aligned on the weapon sprite's center? The beam weapon AI, iirc, assumes that and will aim as if that's the case.

Is the beam's firepoint angled?  That's easy to mess up in the SSEd weapon editor.

I figured out what was happening.  I was adjusting a mod added weapon and it had a script and an offset on it doing funny things.  Removing them fixed it
