Starsector 0.97a is out! (02/02/24); New blog post: Simulator Enhancements (03/13/24)
Apologies to RelicWhat it all means:Planet and moon - Terra and Luna, the homeworld of mankind and the seat of power for the Domain of Man. A reminder of the shared origin of mankind regardless of diaspora or belief.Five stars - the five original core worlds of the Hegemony, with the biggest star representing Hasteus Prime, capital of the HegemonyWings - mankind's reach towards the stars, also Strike Force Pollux, the original military arm of the Hegemony. The wings flanking both Earth and the core worlds represent the protection offered by Hegemony to its citizens from the unbearable horrors that lurk amongst the stars.
I am officially an epoch.
Note: please sacrifice your goats responsibly, look up the proper pronunciation of Alex's name. We wouldn't want some other project receiving mystic power.
It does look good, but a blue is too....weak. The Hegemony have somewhat of an iron grip on the Corvus system, having a pretty large, erm, navy? in the system. A rusty red or brown might make it a bit better.
I don't know... I personally would like to imagine the Hegemony as an authoritarian tyranny of an oligarchy or something like that, and the peaceful blue color just doesn't jive.
I think a clenched fist represents rebellion. The Hegemony seems like it's the authority, so IMO a clenched fist would not represent them very well.
according to the homeworld lore and some of my knowledge. in the homeworld series the wings stand for embracing the planet that you love and you will not stop for anything in your way. this is the case in the homeworld series.
