Make it possible officer to change in to a different ship in battle. So if officer retreats and there are unused ships available, your officer could come back to fight.

This option would beef up especially frigates commanded by officers in big battles. Especially it would help ships that suffer from short combat duration.

So it officer would succesfully retreat, you could change its ship and come back to fight. If officers ship would be destroyed in battle no comeback option with that officer.

That would be a good idea, yeah, since it matches what players in Frigates already do.

Yeah, being able to swap officers in combat ( or at least between combat rounds) is something I asked for quite a few times.
