For the last week or two I've been playing on 1 save with no problem. Earlier today I shut off my computer after saving the game once again, then when I launched up starsector a few hours later, it says their was no save whatsoever. I went to the file in my C: drive and checked the saves folder and I found the save. The save exists, the game just doesn't recognize it's existence. Anyone else have this problem/know how to solve it?

Sounds like save corruption... You might try the back up in the saves folder. Recycle bin the old save (campaign and desriptor.xml) and remove the .bak from the other two
