is there a small ship that has only one mount and it's a large energy mount?

The smallest one I can recall off the top of my head would be the Sunder destroyer, which has a centered Large energy mount.
I don't believe there's any ship with *only* a Large energy mount. The closest you will get is an ill-advised modifications Mudskipper from the Pirates which has a single Large Ballistic mount (and, unsurprisingly, given its source of "manufacture") nowhere near the flux required to really do anything short of offer semi-suicidal support to other ships.

Dude, that sunder with a phase lance is an amazing early game ship. You can one shot a lot of frigates.
