Deeply configurable difficulty
« on: June 11, 2019, 12:02:07 AM »

At the moment, difficulty is set to easy or normal. It also depends on the different starts. It would be nicer if we could configure the difficulty via modifiers to things like supply usage, reputation gain, pirate fleet strength, fuel usage, galatian stipend, number and quality of ships and weapons on the market, number of enemies in explorable systems, economy, etc.

Have you looked at settings.json?

Code
Starsector\starsector-core\data\config\settings.json

Open that bad boy up in Notepad and edit away (might be best to save a backup of it first in case you mess something up though).

I recommend making your own settings mod that overwrites the values. That way you don't mess up your install if you want to revert to vanilla settings.

Would be better if we could configure that stuff in game or at least in the launcher (along with other stuff like memory allocations)
