I updated lots of mods and that broke my game.
I just get a crash right after start (the loading bar does not fill up) and drop out to desktop.

This error would make sense if you were trying to run a mod that's updated for 0.9.1a using 0.9a. So, possibly: try a clean install? (By "clean", I mean copying off your mods/saves/etc, and manually deleting - or renaming - the Starsector folder.)

Thank you, the culprit was not a mod, it was me. I have not realized, that my version of the game is up to date.

Hey, hi, that's my mod, sorry! 0.9.1a changed something so the game now rejects .faction files containing ships that don't exist -- or in this case, are from a different mod which you don't have enabled.

I'll have a real update out in a week and a bit, but in the meantime you can fix this by downloading this file and replacing the existing one in Kadur Remnant\data\world\factions\ ... alternatively, you could of course just download and enable Junk Pirates as well.  ;D
