First of all, my English is not good. Please understand.

1: When using some MOD weapons that can be fired continuously, AI behaves very badly. There is no continuous shooting.

2: AI performs poorly at range disadvantage, especially after installing a safe overload, even though the ship has a huge energy advantage.

3: Opponent ships often withdraw from the battlefield on both sides.

If you have issues with particular mod weapons, it is best to bring them up in the mod's thread--that is likely a problem with the weapon design or its AI hits rather than the game's AI.

Ships with steady or more cautious personalities tend to do poorly with a range disadvantage--they are over-cautious about moving in and pick up too much flux at long range. Setting aggressive or reckless personalities (via officer or the faction doctrine) is near-mandatory for Safety Override ships in my experience.

The issue with opponent ships straying too far off the map should be fixed in the next version.
