Getting rid of own colonies?
« on: November 30, 2018, 08:32:40 AM »

Is there a way to get rid of a colony the size > 3? Abandon doesn't work, hence I removed everything til it drops to 3 and then abandon it. Does this work? And is there another way to get rid of one? (Would love a feature to set a colony "free", e.g., I don't own it anymore.)

I suppose best you can do is scrapping all industries including spaceport and wait for them to starve.
Though I got only -0.27% growth after I did this with size 9 colony(100% hazard rating), so it looks like depopulating it will take forever. On the bright side, income is only -22k.

It might work acceptably for size 4 or 5.

I am considering restarting my game because even if I find a better place to colonize, I still have the size 7 (getting close to size 8 ) 175% hazard pig that eats more than it needs to, and I cannot exactly make it disappear when I want to.
