Cant Load

After several hours fighting RND and obtaining their ships i had to load but unfortunately mid load i got message :

Error loading game see starsector.log for details
It is possible that the save game is from an incompatible version
or was created with mods that are now disabled

Didnt even get the chance to mess with mods, all as they were :

No Sir Yes Sir, just added GraphicsLib after some embarassing insinuation form the Dev :D
It happend mid game so if mods are not autoupdated i didnt do it !

Corrupted save somehow? If you upload the folder (or even just campaign.xml) somewhere, I could see what the invalid character is and maybe guess where it's coming from.

fingers crossed

One more thing i remember at start that V checker informed me about 1 mod with update, i started new game, right now, just to be sure and somehow all mods are up to date.
So one of em was updated, autoupdate ?

Hmm, my text editor doesn't display the character that seems to be messing it up, and it's not clear how it got there in the first place. Alex, do you have any ideas?

(Cursory googling shows Unicode 0x2 causing problems elsewhere, e.g. here)

This looks like a corrupted save, yeah - can't really say why, though. Could be an actual file corruption issue, could (possibly?) be due to that character being in the string being saved, but it seems pretty much impossible to tell at this point.

I'd suggest using the backup saves (.bak files in the save directory).
