Wow man, you're doing a great job of making these things look like they've been through the ages!

Love the idea of ships in different colors should be a random thing for all ship types.

I love these sprites! And I see someone has found a use for the crane sprite! I just have two suggestions. I think the modified Apogee could benefit from a less flat front. Right now it doesn't seem exactly like a ship (somehow, it feels more like a structure, partially because the flat front). Second, could you update OP with the new ships you have drawn? It would be awesome to see all the ships next to each other!

Thanks, catattack.

I'll update the OP in a bit. I'm going to redo some of the earlier sprites though.

I'm currently working on making unique ships from scratch. Here's the final version of the Iota Cruiser/ Carrier, plus the Fox Destroyer, as requested. :)

Iota-class Cruiser/ Carrier

Fox-class Destroyer

All ships in this series will have a matching (battered, worn-down, salvaged) art style.

I don't think it counts as "from scratch" if you aren't actually drawing these by hand yourself.

Some parts are, some parts aren't. I'm still building up ships from scratch. Or should I say scratch and parts.   ;)

Upgradecap asked for a bigger destroyer, so here it is:

The Omega Destroyer

Omega-class Destroyer

Scale comparison:

Now working on a pocket-cruiser. Technically a destroyer that fills the role of light cruiser.

Now these are cool ships! I would like to see a couple (maybe even three? pretty please?) versions of some smaller frigates, to fill various roles.

After that, maybe a massive capital ship, then maybe a fighter and a bomber.

Now that you have my timeline, you are free to scrap it.  ;D

Also, I just have two little criticisms for the awesome ships. First of all, it would be a little cooler if the engines were less exposed, and more... "integrated". Second of all, the one little pixel of red at the top of the Fox-class Destroyer/Cruiser bugs me to no end!

Ah, totally legit. Carry on.  :)

They really do look great. Since I have apparently not said that yet.

Delta-class Light Frigate (Freighter converted to frigate role)

Epsilon-class Lance Frigate (Delta-class upgraded into a dedicated frigate)

Zeta-class Heavy Frigate (A Delta and Epsilon-class merged into a heavier frigate design)

Coming up: an advanced destroyer, the pinnacle of engineering for the current series of ships (as requested by TimCORP)

Aaaand here is the advanced destroyer from this fleet series. Yes, it does not look too high-tec, but it fits the style of the previous ships. It is a bit more sleek and hull plated, however.

Rho-class Advanced Destroyer (build up from the Zeta-class' heavy frame)

Recolored all the ships in a darker style, as requested.

I really like the style used for these sprites! It's quite a departure from default Starfarer looks, but unlike a few other attempts I've seen I feel this one really works. I can't help but think the darkened ships will end up being very hard to see in-game, though. :P

Keep up the good work!
