Hello, I have updated starsector for the first time since (0.65a?) and the campaign is curretly umplayable due to very frequent crashes while saving.
I can usally save at the very start of the campaign. This problem happens after playing for a few minutes, anyway, this should prove it is not an issue with the save process in itself. When it does save the sounds cuts out and return a lot of times though.
I run a lot of mods but I managed close to the same ammount previously with no issues.
I changed the vmparams file to "-Xms8192m -Xmx8192m" but if I run the .bat file, the show values are still 1536, this does not seem right to me.
Hopefully the logs were attached correctly. I'm available to provide any more useful information.
My starsector.log file is way over the size limit, I'll copy the used mods and the ending here, as seen in starsector.log.

Hi there! Two quick notes:

1) If you're running via the .bat file, you want to edit the memory allocation in the bat file rather than in vmparams. The bat file does not use vmparams.
2) You probably want 6g memory at most, maybe 4g. 8g is overkill and can cause problems.

Finally, probably goes without saying, but make sure all the mods you're using are updated for the latest version of the game.

Hello Alex, thanks for the quick answer!

I don't usually run the game throught the bat file, I just thought it might have been useful information. Anyway, I changed the memory to 6gb but the problem persists. I attached the error log that happened after saving with the changed memory alocation (7776).
It's obviously not the best time of the year to be looking at this, so I completely understand if it takes some time to get to this.
I've disabled all the faction mods and the saves are working correctly, so that narrows it down to either an issue with the cheer amount of mods or a specific faction one.
I'll start some testing by adding the remaining mods one by one and see how that pans out, I'll post if I manage to get to the bottom of this.
In the meantime I'd appreciate it if some knowleadgeable eyes could take a look at the error logs in case it's in reality a simple fix or a conflict between some of the mods.

As far as the error log, that looks like a crash in the graphics driver. If you disable GraphicsLib though its settings file (but still leave it enabled, so the mods that depend on it work) then that might resolve it. Another thing to try would be updating your graphics drivers (or, rolling them back to an older version, if they're already up-to-date).

Spent the day fiddling with the amount of mods and graphical settings to varying degrees of sucess, it seems it simply is a problem of the PC not being able to handle all of it. Since the game itself ran perfectly fine and the crash only happens when saving I expected the issue to come from somewhere else.
Finally played for about an hour with stable and (for testing purposes) constant saving.
The only change I ended up needing was setting "enableshaders" to false on GraphicsLib, kept all the mods I listed on the first post. Not the answer I wanted but I'm glad I can enjoy a conquest the universe campaign anyway.  :)
If i don't update the post it means I kept running it with no issues.

Cool! Yeah, that makes sense - looks like your graphics drivers aren't liking something about what GraphicsLib is doing.
