Soon™. But seriously no one knows when exactly will it come out, only thing I can tell you is it won't be this year since we didn't even get any patch notes, and those usually come months before the actual update.

Do you think Alex will potentially release a bug-repair patch?
In my mind there is some troubling problem in the current release, more important than previously, that can benefit a fix patch (not-despawning scavenger, carrier IA and eternal war) as they somtimes takes all the fun off the game.

Sadly no... Once he starts an update cycle, he doesn't stop until he releases...

I'd be curious if Alex thinks this next update is as content-heavy as the last. 0.8 had a ridiculous number of fixes, additions, and re-works creating, essentially, a new game.

I think there was almost a year and a half between 0.7 and 0.8 but if 0.9 isn't quite as laborious as 0.8, it *might* not take as long. However, outside of the economy and outposts blog, we have no idea what else is planned.

Well he IS reworking the economy again, so there is that. Also, .9 will most likely be the last major content update before all the polishing and such gets done before the Steam release. But don't quote me on that as it is just speculation

If you are talking about when Alex releases on Steam, will your key activate the game on steam? Most likely yes. Either that or Alex will give us all steam keys. But of course I'm not him
