A rehash of a year-old suggestion of mine; a hullmod that you can equip on a non-carrier vessel, that allows missile hardpoints to equip a fighter LLC, with a (slot size-based, 30/60/100) reduction in maximum wing size and a 0% replacement rate for fighters lost, meant to allow vessels in need of a dedicated escort to simply carry some into combat or to bring strike craft into combat with the caveat that you can refuel & re-arm them through the altered missile firing port, but you can't replace them once lost, making them very much a part of your vessel because if they leave your protection they'll be gone forever.
edit: also this would fix the problem that missile mounts are almost %100 locked to HE weapons, and would give PD boats more use as a fleet that's heavy in strike-escorts can be stripped of a lot of torpedoes & strike capacity by sending a PD boat in to assault & destroy their strike escorts
